Zoombook - The Temple of the Sun combines three different interrelated concepts such as Puzzle, Story and Fractal. Zoombook is a Story | Puzzle, a new casual game genre, in which Puzzles are solved while going through the Story. Each image is linked with the next along with the plot.

In this Story | Puzzle we used the concept of Fractal. Every piece of each Puzzle have the same shape and different scale, just like in Fractals Each Puzzle counts of 4 square pieces, which are at the same time composed by 4 smaller square pieces and so on. All the images along the game follow this concept. They are part of bigger ones, and these are at the same time pieces of other Puzzles. Even the Story counts with a Fractal twist. Originally, the game's name was Fractan, which comes from the combination of both Fractal and Tangram, the millenarian Chinese game.

This new mechanic completes itself with another twist to generate the increasing difficulty level of the game: the dismemberment and exchange of pieces brings chaos in each Puzzle. Zoombook can be played in Time Mode, limited by time; in Puzzle Mode, which counts with a limited amount of moves; in Chaos Mode, playing with the dismemberment and exchanging of pieces and in Gauntlet Mode, where you choose any image to practice.
